The healthy Bircher muesli is often referred to as the mother of muesli as we know it today. The original recipe for Bircher Muesli consists of only four ingredients: oatmeal, milk, grated apple, and hazelnuts. The special feature is that the flakes are soaked overnight in water, milk, or plant drink in the refrigerator, making them a particularly well-digestible porridge. In the morning, an apple is grated, and grated hazelnuts are added.
Even though the original recipe is still very popular today, Bircher Muesli is now available in a wide variety of versions, mostly in the form of overnight oats . For all berry lovers out there, we have created a delicious raspberry birch cereal that is easy to prepare:

Ingredients
- 50 g oatmeal (approx. 4 tbsp)
- 50 g raspberries (fresh or frozen)
- 100 ml almond drink
- 1 tbsp Verival Good Morning Seed Mix (or Flaxseed/Chia Seed)
- 15g chopped almonds
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp. maple syrup
Preparation

Place the oatmeal, Verival seed mix (or flaxseed), and about half of the raspberries in a glass and mix with the almond drink and the juice of half a lemon.

Close or cover the glass and leave it overnight in the refrigerator.

Remove from the refrigerator, stir well, and mix in the chopped almonds and maple syrup.

Top with the second half of the raspberries. Done!
Nutritional values
Of course, you can also use other cereals such as rye or wheat flakes for the recipe. You can also vary the berries and the seed mix to suit your taste. In this case, we recommend our Verival Good Morning seed mix with different seeds such as flax and chia, but also fruity raspberry pieces.
